The Fine Print

Make sure you read our Terms and Conditions below before entering.


1. The Promoter is The Hutch Collaboration 1 Mona vale Rd, Monavale 2103 (ABN 45990959438))


2. Entry is only open to New South Wales residents of Australia who are over the age of 18, and legally permitted to marry. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoters, directors, management, related companies, retailers, suppliers and their agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible.
3. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
4. Entrants can only submit their answer once, by telling the Promoter your answer to the question posed on Enter an original submission via the internet at
5. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. This competition has a two stage process. To enter, Entrants must post a photo of themselves and their partner on the Promoters facebook page and explain in 50 words or less why they should win a free wedding.
7. Three finalists will be selected by the Promoter’s judging panel. If unanimous decision can not be made on on the three finalists, more may be selected at the Promoter’s discretion.
The three finalists will then have 7 days to gain as many votes as they can. A like on any finalists entry photo on the Promoters facebook page as reposted during the voting period by the Promoter will be counted as one vote. The couple with the most votes at the closing of the 7 day period will be deemed the winner.
8. All entrants must submit ONLY their own original photo, answers, designs and works. Any such photos, answers, designs or works cannot be previously published in any forum worldwide. All entries become the property of the Promoter and cannot be returned. Entries that are found to have been derived from the designs or copyright of a third party will be considered invalid and, if awarded a prize, that prize must be returned to the Promoter. The Winner may be required to sign a statutory declaration regarding the originality of the design. Without limiting the generality, The Promoter reserves the right to take legal action against anyone found to have breached this term. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation are reserved.


10. The competition commences on 20/04/14 at 16.00 EST and closes on 9/05/14 at 16.00 EST. Three finalists will be selected by the Promoters judging panel, having regard to skill, creativity and originality, at the Promoter’s premises on the 09/05/14 at 16.30 EST. Finalists will be announced on the Promoter’s facebook page on the 9/05/14 at 18.00 EST.
11. The three finalist will have from the 09/05/14 at 18.00 EST to 16/05/14 at 18.00 EST to gain as many votes at they can on their photo as posted by the Promoter via “The Hutch” facebook page. A “like” on the each couples photo will count as one vote. “Likes” on a couples photo after the competition closing period will not be counted as votes.


11. The winner will be announced and contacted via the Promoters facebook page on the 16/05/14 at approximately 18.30 EST.
12. There will be no unclaimed prize draw. If the Promoter is unable to contact the winner to claim fulfillment of the promotional prize, that winner will forfeit the prize in its entirety. The Promoter will not be liable for a winner who cannot be contacted and therefore forfeits their prize and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency, proof of age at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity (including phone bill) in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency, age and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to re-judge in the event of an entrant, claiming to be a winner, being unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions.
15. The judges’ decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each person who enters. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. No correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Prizes are subject to availability, not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
16. The Promoter and their associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur during the promotion; whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the promotion; in the participation in any prize; as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail; due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person; in relation to failure of an SMS entry message to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion; or in relation to failure of an entry to be received on the website on account of technical problems or traffic congestion; arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion; arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any computer equipment, software, internet connection, any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer software related to or resulting from participation in this promotion.
17. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned including infection by computer virus, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter [subject to state and territory legislation] reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems of the phone or of any phone network, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s phone related to or resulting from participation or sending or receiving of any communication or of any materials in this competition.


18. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about entrants to include entrants in the promotion and where appropriate award prizes. If the personal information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By participating in the promotion, each entrant also acknowledges that a further primary purpose for collection of entrants personal information by the Promoter is to enable the Promoter to use the information to assist the Promoter in improving goods and services and to contact entrants in the future with information on special offers or provide entrants with marketing materials via any medium including, but not limited to, mail, telephone and commercial electronic messages. The Promoter may share information with its related companies or promotional partners who may contact entrants in this way with special offers.
19. By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may use entrants’ personal information in this manner. The entrant also agrees that the Promoter may publish or cause to be published the winner’s name and locality in any media as required under the relevant lottery legislation. The entrant also agrees that the Promoter may publish any photographs and video of them partaking in the prize wedding in any media as required. This includes but is not limited to facebook, instagram, the Promoters website and third party websites, blogs and magazines.


The 1 x best/valid entry chosen based on skill, creativity and votes which is eligible will win:
20. The prize is “The Hutch” Wedding package and is provided by “The Hutch” suppliers. It is made up of the below elements:

a) Wedding Reception Venue Hire for 70 guests at a venue of the promoters choosing. Valued at $1500.
b) Catering for 70 guests to the value of $3500.
c) Wedding cake to the value of $350.
d) 8hr photography package to the value of $5000.
e) 8hr Videography package to the value of $3200
f) 3hr Kombi hire for the Sydney metro area. (Vehicle choice subject to availability) valued at $630.
g) Mobile bar hire for the Sydney metro area valued at $1500. Please note: This is for bar hire only and does not include alcohol.
g) Invitation for up to 70 guests to the value of $450.
h) Floristry Location Ceremony and Reception Basics Package:
3 medium bouquets, 1 flower girl posy or basket of petals, 3 button holes, large vase for signing table, bucket of petals for the isle
Mixed Jars on tables. Worth $1650 (Seasonal flowers only!)
i) Celebrant to the value of $600.
k) Styling to the value of $5000. Please note that if you request the Promoters stylist to source items for you that are not already in The Promoters styling collection, then you will need to cover the costs associated with renting/ buying these items.
l) Make up for the bride and two bridesmaids to the value of $650.
m) Event planning and co-ordination worth $2000
21. The entire prize must be redeemed on the 9th of August 2014 and cannot be split and used separately.
22. The prize must be redeemed in its entirety. Prize giving suppliers cannot be replaced with alternative suppliers of the couple’s choice. The couple must use all prize elements or forfeit the prize.
23. Venue and all prize elements are subject to availability. If a particular prize element is not available, efforts will be made to find a suitable replacement. In the event that a supplier cannot honour their element of the prize, that element may not be replaced.
